01The workflow

Four steps from brief to retainer.

Each step ends with something you can send to the client.

  1. 01

    Brief

Paste what the client sent, plus the logo or a site they like. The agent plans the pages and builds them with a database behind them.

  2. 02

    Build

A responsive site with forms, bookings or content, and a live preview you can click while it builds.

  3. 03

    Review

Send a password-protected link. The client comments on the real page, you press Fix with PiPilot. Paid plans.

  4. 04

    Hand over

Invite the client as Owner, Admin, Editor or Contributor. They edit their own site; you stay their agency.

04Questions

Asked by agencies.

No. You describe the site and edit by chatting. The project is still a real repository, so a developer can pick it up later.

Your client can own all three once you hand it over: the domain can be connected or bought in their name, the backend can be claimed into their account, and the code can be pushed to their GitHub. Code export, GitHub push and own-host deploys are on paid plans.

A client admin at /admin where they edit their own content, with a role you choose: Owner, Admin, Editor or Contributor. It is free on one site, Solo covers 3 sites, and it is included on every site from Pilot up.

You can build and preview for free, with no card, and give one site a client admin. Private projects, password-protected previews, code export and deploying to the client’s own host all start on Solo ($10/month).

Yes, on paid plans. Set a password on the published site and send the link. The client clicks any element and leaves a note, and Fix with PiPilot sends it to the agent with the exact page and element. No PiPilot account is needed on the client side.

Yes, on paid plans. You connect the site through the client’s own host, import it, and install the PiPilot Bridge if it is WordPress. You choose a permission tier and changes are logged. Guided steps cover Bluehost, HostGator, cPanel and SiteGround; other hosts work if you can upload one file.

On Captain and up, you can open a client’s admin as an admin, and the client can switch that agency access off. It is their site, so they stay in control.

Captain ($60/month): everything in Pilot, plus unlimited client sites each with its own admin, the agency console, white-label admin, the weekly digest and priority support. If a team works on the same sites, Squadron ($40 per seat, 3 seats minimum) adds a shared workspace and Agent Teams. A solo freelancer can start on Pilot ($20/month).
